DPU and pipes
Title:  DPU and pipes
Description:  The DPU on this 125 car loaded TXUX train rolls out from under the US 412 overpass, and past KCS customer Pipelife Jetstream, which receives cars of plastic pellets, which they use to make varying sizes of PVC pipe. They get a switch every day. The 3932 is a recently renumbered TFM unit, relettered and moved from the 1600's to the 3900's, keeping its last two digits. As I post this in July 2016, there are still a few of these units rolling around in TFM paint.

Description:  The bluff just south of Noel was a popular spot for KCS publicity photos, used the advertise their passenger trains back in the day. Description:  Usually, with a southbound, if I shot him at the north end of Dorsey, I couldnt beat him to Gentry, though sometimes especially heavy trains would bog down coming into Decatur, and again on the short hump at MP 219. The 82 cars must have been really holding them back, as I was able to get this shot at Floyd Moore Rd, just north of Gentry.

Description:  The H train rolls along US 59 past Shockeys horse farm. When ODOT widened the road here, they took away the Shockeys sign, which was a good photo prop. Hopefully well see a new one there soon.

Description:  The H train rolls north of Westville as seen from the part of old US 59 that was bypassed when the new 4 lane was built. Its a lot easier to take this shot now that you dont have cars and trucks blowing past you at 70 MPH.

Description:  We were on the first leg of a trip to Ohio, running north on MO 59 to reach Joplin, when I spied this southbound H train coming into Anderson. I was hoping for one of the new ET44s, but no such luck. Still, a good looking set of power.
