During the years prior to the KCS getting dozens of new diesels, there was a motley assortment of older power, some KCS, some hand me down. We see a southbound approaching Lincoln Av with some of each. A pair of consecutively numbered Belles are in the lead, with a pair of ex TFM units, consecutively numbered SDP40s in different paint schemes trailing on this Q train with 50 freight and 10 stacks in tow. |

We were on the first leg of a trip to Ohio, running north on MO 59 to reach Joplin, when I spied this southbound H train coming into Anderson. I was hoping for one of the new ET44s, but no such luck. Still, a good looking set of power. |
