Description: |
Despite having taken on international stack trains, some of the track on the NYSW was not exactly high speed at this time. This local is not setting speed records as it rolls through Paterson. |

Just in |
Description: |
The power from an SLN 5 that came into town in the morning is now at the shop awaiting attention before it goes back to Jersey on the next eastbound. NYSW ran anything that would pull cars on those trains, as can be seen by the lineup here. |

Deep cold |
Description: |
It was deep snow and deep cold this day in January, temperatures in the teens, as was the depth of the snow pack. Does that keep me in?? Dont be silly. There are trains to chase. In this case, its BH 1 with a three builder consist, heading north up the connection from the D&H that was built as part of the Bevier St improvement, where the D&H bridges were raised to allow standard 136" trailers, and the ex DLW bridge used by the NYSW was removed in favor of the new connection. |
