Rainy BUME |
Description: |
The weather in Binghamton was legendary for the rain, but the trains ran. I shot photos. This rainy day has BUME underway through the south end of Bevier St on its way north. |

HAN 2 in the yard |
Description: |
IF the NYSW did not have a crew ready, Conrail would not let the train stay on the Tier, and NYSW had to stow it in a yard. This was done either on the Utica Branch, or at East Binghamton, depending on operational needs. Today, the choice is East Binghamton, and we see a HAN 2 pulling down to Terrace Drive behind a pair of NS units. When the NYSW crew is on, they will back out through BD and head east. |

All mixed up |
Description: |
MEBU rolls off track 3-the ex DLW-onto the Southern Tier at West BD behind what was becoming an odd mix of power since the new B 40s arrived. One of them is here, trailing behind an hand me down SD 45 and borrowed NW painted NS C30-7. The former DLW main is in the foreground, now a spur ending a mile across the river in Vestal. |
