Actually, the same local, just in a different location. I caught todays dodger out of Watts at Davidson Rd north of Siloam in a spring like setting with the same power as yesterdays train. The power will be switched out over the weekend, when it goes to Heavener for servicing. |

Dragging the hill |
Description: |
The profile on the Heavener Sub has a lot of up and down, though most of it is unremarked-Rich Mountain farther south gets all the attention, but there are some good pulls here, too. Such is the case here at Davidson Rd north of Siloam, where the tracks are coming out of long dip. The pull is taxing the three four motor units as they lug 66 cars south to Watts. |

New view |
Description: |
The US 59 widening project has meant some serious tree and brush clearing. One place that got it was the area around Chewey Rd, between MP 238 and 239. Prior to the project, it was treed in. Now its wide open, creating a shot I had wished existed for years. Here we have a southbound H train approaching the curve, and the following two shots as it makes its way through. This was taken right from the shoulder of US 59. |
