Description:  BUAB rolls past the location of BX cabin, entering the south end of Bevier St. It will get a new crew and start its hard pull toward the tunnel. Note how fresh the paint is on 5690. It will get three more paint schemes in the next dozen years.

Description:  Another one of those "if I had said ten years ago..." shots. Who would have figured NYSW running new, high horsepower diesels, and in combination with CP power, yet?? Here it is on a 74 car MEBU rolling west at Hiawatha Rd. The power combinations would get even stranger by the end of the year.

Growing up
Title:  Growing up
Description:  Earlier this year, I shot BUOI here in a spring scene with the forsythia in bloom, and the green trees still short. Theyre getting bigger, now starting to obscure the train. In a couple of years, theyll make a photo here impossible. A GATX leader has what looks like is an 892 coal train. Note the PLM unit. It is in an SD45 carbody, and was one of the EMD test bed units for the 645 engine in the 1960's.

Description:  Train 309 rolls west along the Susquehanna behind two units that would later get the "golden rodent" and become fixtures on the short lived 416 and 417 trains from Saratoga to the Bronx. Today they are headed to Buffalo with none other but an ex PC E 8 tucked in behind.
