Every once in a while
Title:  Every once in a while
Description:  Despite CP having taken over the D&H operations nearly ten years before, sometimes a NYSW unti would still get in the mix on a D&H train. Heres one running west on 271 at Owego. Most of the hardware in this scene is now a memory.

Line up in the yard
Title:  Line up in the yard
Description:  A line of NYSW units sits at Binghatmon. Most will not see the road again on the Susie Q. The 2062 was one of the GP20's that came from the TP&V; the 4006 is one of the original four units from 1988, and was sold to the P&W along with the others.

150th Anniversary trip
Title:  150th Anniversary trip
Description:  In 2004, the NYSW ran a pair of Syracuse-Binghamton trips to mark the 150th anniversary of predecessor Syracuse Binghamton & NY. They ran Binghamton/Syracuse and return on Saturday, the opposite on Sunday, with the 142, M&E FL9s and a couple of NYSW units. Heres Saturdays train crossing the Chenango River. I must have been running out on the NY 12A bridge ank just made the shot, its a little off level.

Run by
Title:  Run by
Description:  True to form for the Tier, the weather for the trip I rode was dreadful, cold and rainy. I rode Sunday's trip, originating in Syracuse. They ran a couple of runbys along the way, one in Tully, the other here at Lisle. We see the train smoking it up as it comes out from under the I 81 overpass. The photo line is standing on the flood wall that keeps the Tioghnioga River from periodically inundating Lisle and Whitney Point. The NYSW was optimistic by putting the 4006 as lead diesel. This is the unit that crunched a dump truck at a grade crossing during the 1988 NRHS convention.
