Title:  Milliken coal
Description:  The coal trains to NYSEGs Milliken Station, north of Ithaca, though there were usually three up and down in any given week, ran on an irregular basis, and could show at any time, so it was always a treat to find one. This 125 car train bound for the power plant is northbound behind a leader that is familiar with the territory as it rolls through West Danby on the ex LV.

Description:  13T rolls toward the PA 706 underpass, picking up speed as it heads down the old DLW. The BNSF unit is notable, though not uncommon on this train, which seemed to get western power pretty routinely. The trailing unit is the real surprise, a B40-8. NS did not have many of these, and none purchased by NS itself. This is a legacy CR unit.

Description:  A shot I liked to get, though I didnt do it often because you had to stand in the traffic lane on NY 7 to do it, was this view of a southbound coming off the Susquehanna River bridge from Sidney into Bainbridge.
