One that got away
Title:  One that got away
Description:  South of Binghamton, it was not unusual to see Chessie or NS power on RPPY and PYRP. North of Binghamton, not so much. This Chessie unit, now working for CSX, but still lettered WM, was borrowed for a trip north, and is now returning to its usual haunts from its short adventure, leading as the train arrives at Binghamton.

The gangs all here
Title:  The gangs all here
Description:  There is quite the crowd at the East Binghamton fuel pad today. NYSW and D&H units bracket a new arrival, a GP39-2 rebuilt at M-K Mountaintop. This was a program undertaken by NYSW to update several units and repaint them into the D&H lighning stripe scheme. Two other 39s were done, 7403 and 7407, as well as several GP38-2s. The power at left will go out shortly on PYRP.

The track on the diagonal from where the train is, on the ex DLW, to the Southern Tier Line, is the connecting track used by most trains going west on the Tier, though they can also come in and out by staying on the track PYRP is on now through the DLW station area.
