He appeared to be slowing for a meet, and had a red board at the south end of the siding. The meet was probably the northbound grain train we saw this day at Westville, with KCSM 4673 leading. |

One of the things about the transfer station here in town is that its adjacent to the tracks, which offers lots of opportunities while Im tending to household necessities. As I was dumping the couple of bins of recycling, I heard a horn. That turned out to be a Herzog train that was taking the siding. Radio chatter mentioned a southbound Q train, which showed shortly after the Herzog train tied up. Here is is rolling through the north end siding switch behind a pair of GEs |
