Southbound gray
Title:  Southbound gray
Description:  Before too much longer, most trains would have Belles leading. Now, its not that common to see a gray unit, leading or otherwise. Back then, I was thrilled to get a Belle. Looking back now, Im glad I caught the grays. This one has 73 cars of grain rolling south at Baron.

Its all a blur
Title:  Its all a blur
Description:  Not that the train is going that fast, its just the sun is gone and the remaining light is going. The H train passes the sign at Lanagan. At least we know where we are.

Last chance
Title:  Last chance
Description:  The light was about gone when the H train crossed under the Ark 59 bridge just north of Suplhur Springs, but there was enough to make a nice twilight shot along Butler Creek.

Fields of gold
Title:  Fields of gold
Description:  At the time of year where the sun is low, and the fields have all gone brown, the late day sun really turns everything gold, a wonderful mellow color that is just golden. A scene like this always brings to mind Stings song Fields of Gold. The only way to improve on that image is to put a train in it, which KCS was kind enough to do, with this 104 car H train behind three Belles. We see the train at the Goodman detector.

Another day, another northbound from the car
Title:  Another day, another northbound from the car
Description:  Once again, we were heading to Stilwell for some Christmas shopping, and encountered a northbound just south of Watts, this time the H train. In what seems to be an unusual set up considering all the off line power I've seen lately, he has four KCS units, all Belles.
