Incognito
Title:  Incognito
Description:  This GP 40 is lacking the large red initials on the long hood, the only identification being the herald on the cab. Wonder how that happened??

Lucky grab
Title:  Lucky grab
Description:  I was coming back from running some errands, picking my way through town, about to cross the KCS at Kenwood St, when to my delight the gates started down. The day was gloomy-its been raining here for the last three days, and I didnt expect to shoot any train photos, but when presented with the chance, out comes the camera from under the seat. This is unusual for two reasons: first, the dodger typically runs with three units, occasionally, but not often, two. And its long hood forward, which you never see here. Anyway, a LHF GP 40 with six cars heads to Watts in the rain. Last time I saw this unit, in Gentry on the dodger, it was gray.

Working Pipelife
Title:  Working Pipelife
Description:  I came upon the Watts based dodger that works north catching it at Kenwood St as it worked the Pipelife Jetstream plant in Siloam, the power having just backed down past the crossing as it shoved plastic pellets into the plant.

Pushing back, and a former customer
Title:  Pushing back, and a former customer
Description:  The dodger power pushes covered hoppers full of plastic pellets into the Pipelife plant, past the now cut off siding for Allens Canning, the one time packers of Popeye spinach, which was once canned here, along with a variety of other vegetables. The brand survives, though Allens is no longer a going concern. The warehouse here is now owned by Pro Pak, and truck served.
