CNJ units |
Description: |
Another day at Harrison, we see a different GP7P, and a GP40P in the rain. Note the coach behind 5908. It's one of the BN cars acquired by CNJ that ran on the Bay Head Builder, now repainted in the last CNJ passenger car scheme. |

CNJ action |
Description: |
The Central RR of New Jersey main hosted trains to Raritan, as well as several to Phillipsburg every day. One of the more important stations was Bound Brook, where at this time it was still possible to get a train to Reading Terminal in Philadelphia twice a day. By this time, the four track main was mostly a mockery of what had once been a busy railroad. Fittingly, one of CNJs GP40Ps handles a mid day Raritan train here. |

NJ Transit head past the tail tracks where E units wait for Bay Head trains with a former CNJ train on the NY&LB. This angle shows the extended hood that accomodates the steam generator. Note the Southern E 8 at the extreme left of the frame. |

Newark train |
Description: |
A CNJ side train that originated from Newark passes the ready tracks at South Amboy behind a pair of ex CNJ GP40Ps. From the equipment, this is the former "Bay Head Empire Builder," named for the cars which came from BN, and ran til the early 80's still in BN and GN colors. |
