Caught off guard |

I had just quit on a chase of a southbound oil train, and was coming back through town when I heard a horn. Ten minutes behind the oil train was this stone train. I was able to get onto US 59 south and head for the overpass. I wasnt fast enough, so we have this grab shot of it having passed the south end of the siding, approaching the US 59 bridge. Ill have to try this shot again when I can set up for it. There are not many chances for an overhead view that are easy to reach, so this has potential. |

One of he reasons I like this spot is that its good for a southbound almost alll the time, and there is that big tree in the adjacent field that makes a good photo prop. Now if I could just get the horses to come over when theres a train...maybe I need some of JJ Youngs inflatable cows. |
