Pulling away |
Description: |
The DPUs on the TXUX train roll south away from the overpass through a tunnel of trees. The units are starting to work, as the head end is now downtown and digging into the grade up to Gravette. |

Wide view, lots of power |
Description: |
Sometimes KCS will run extra units on an empty train to balance the power used as DPUs, since they tend to accumulate in Heavener after a run down from Pittsburg, as theyre not really needed for northbounds. Thus, this empty AEPX train has seven units up front, and a BNSF Grinstein SD 70MAC on the rear just for good measure. |

Reflections |
Description: |
This northbound empty TXUX train is reflected in the standing water next to the tracks. A day of rain the day before left a lot of water in ditches and ponds. Here, it made for an interesting scene. |

Dark side M train |
Description: |
I had gotten this train at Gentry, but was not able to beat him to the Davidson Road crossing, so wound up with this dark side view, nicely nose lit, of the 92 car M train, behind an international set of power. |

Lucky catch |
Description: |
I was crossing over the tracks on Ark 12, and looked to the south to check the signal. It was green for the main. I had about enough time to turn around and get into position, just barely catching this 92 car southbound M train. |

Rolling to a stop |
Description: |
The oil train rolls to a stop just north of the County Barn crossing. It will wait here for a northbound H train that is slowly making its way up from Cave Springs. |

Oil train south |
Description: |
The H train safely tucked into the siding, the oil train now rolls south, passing the station as it picks up speed. The CP leader is one more scheme I have caught coming past this historic building |

Long ride to chase it down |
Description: |
I heard the horn for a southbound from the house, and got out fairly quickly, but the slowpokes on the way down to Westville sank the chase. The train was on the US 62 crossing in Westville when I got there. I finally caught up down near MP 252 south of Baron, to find this merger mix of CP and KCS units leading a 105 car oil train. |
