Under the BC Open bridge
Title:  Under the BC Open bridge
Description:  For many years, the NY17C overpass in west Endicott had a message on it welcoming visitors to the BC Open, a PGA tour event that was played on adjacent En-Joie golf course. Here CP train 557 passes under on its way to Toronto.

CP 5657 on the DLW
Title:  CP 5657 on the DLW
Description:  CP 5657 leads a southbound under the PA 706 bridge at New Milford. Hard to believe there were once two tracks here.

Tunkhannock Viaduct
Title:  Tunkhannock Viaduct
Description:  DLW built this in 1915 to span the Tunkhannock Creek valley after rejecting a fill at this location. Its massive, and still the largest steel reinfoced concrete structure in the world. In some ways its hard to shoot a train here, as the bridge dwarfs anything on it-not that I wont try!! Heres 164 going across.

413 and a stray
Title:  413 and a stray
Description:  Todays eopisode of the 413 show has a guest who strayed off its usual territory, and is now returning home. Sometimes Pan Am power would run into Binghamton, as is the case today, seen at BX with 34 cars

Flags and a visitor
Title:  Flags and a visitor
Description:  The flags were not a big deal. Even after CP stopped repainting its diesels in the "Dual Flags" scheme, they showed up in it for some time after. The visitor was the second unit. While not unheard of on CP, Guilford power was something of an anomaly. This set is northbound on 413 at Depot Rd

Blank nose
Title:  Blank nose
Description:  This CP unit shows a feature that only a few units had-a blank nose. They must have been out of the "CP" decals the day they painted this engine. Train 413 rolls north with 34 cars.

Around the curve, into the shadow
Title:  Around the curve, into the shadow
Description:  Shadows were always a factor in the Tier, and this June day is no exception, as 419 rolls around the curve at MP 248.

Overpowered
Title:  Overpowered
Description:  After watching 166 roll by with a long train, this 419 was somewhat anticlimactic, with three units, more than enough for its 28 cars.

Once a busy place
Title:  Once a busy place
Description:  An 18 car northbound CP train passes by XO tower, where the D&H and B&M crossed and connected. Now the B&M yard is largely abandoned, and the D&H side has an intermodal ramp on it. Thirty years ago, it was a busier and vastly different scene.
