Dodger in the pink |
Description: |
I heard the radio say the dodger was going to Gentry to change ends, so I waited, figuring I could at least see it, if not get a photo. There was still enough light in the sky to work a silhouette. To my great delight, the sky had picked up a swath of pink from the now departed sun hitting a cloud, giving this unusual scene. Three units have 11 cars in tow. |

Local grab |
Description: |
I had just finished up at the recycle bins when the dodger came up to Lincoln Av. I was able to beat him to Cheri Whitlock Dr for a quick shot from the car. This will look entirely different when the new overpass is done, and I can get some elevation. The plot in the foreground is usually planted with sunflowers by the adjacent home owner, so that will make for a good photo. |

Pipe Dream |
Description: |
The dodger, officially L 102, works at Pipe Life-Jetstream. Guess what they make!! The groundman is somewhere down the cut of cars, most likely connecting air hoses and checking couplers so the engineer can pull the empties. |

Under a wintry sky |
Description: |
The sun angle is giving the clouds that wintry look-they just look cold-belying the 65 degree temperature on this February Friday. Three units pull up to Kenwood St with a cut of cars from Pipelife, whom they have just been switching on the other side of the US 412 overpass. |

Fly in the ointment |
Description: |
When the northbound empty TXUX train didnt start once the H train cleared the north switch at Stilwell, it caused me to miss the shot of the Belle leader at the station. Heres why the northbound didnt get the signal: this light power move south, coming into town about 15 minutes behind the H train. |
