On most units, it made for a brick like appearance; on the GP 30's, which both roads rostered, it was really different. | Description: |
Most of the through freights I saw this day had six axle power. One that didn't was this one, which came south with four 4 axle units. Interestingly for you numbercrunchers, the two units to the right had opposing numbers. Note GP 30, number 2625, and ahead of it, GP 35 2526. A GE rounds out the shot. |

RPPY has just left East Binghamton, and is passing BLS Shaws. By this time, trains have usually cleared the south limit of the yard. There is still a slow slog to the end of the double track south of Conklin, as there is a 10 MPH speed restriction in place. Its a drag for the crews, but a great opportunity for photographers. |
