The DPUs from both trains meet just north of the Ark 12 overpass. The empty trains a lot of times get only one unit, and sometimes dont get any, with all the power up front. The current practice on loaded trains is to run them 2x3 on the Heavener Sub, so we have a pair of KCS units tacked on behind the BNSF DPU that came from Wyoming. |

Needing to keep making progress toward home, I left the two Joint Line trains at Palmer Lake and resumed my trek south. If I had a couple more days, I could have shot a lot of trains here, I saw at least five from the road that I might otherwise have gone after. As I neared Pueblo, I caught up to this southbound grain move. This is the DPU, a grab shot out the window as I rolled down I 25. |
