The Belle scheme was making serious inroads to the fleet at this time, but most of the existing fleet was still gray. Seemed ever time I'd see a train with Belles, there would be a gray unit leading. It's only in the last two years or so that the AC44's have been getting repainted, while it seems most of the SD 70's have been done. |
