One rolling, one not |
Description: |
The caboose at Gravette has been preserved, no longer needed in the age of electronics. The trains, however, keep rolling, as does this southbound TXUX coal train bound for Texas, its BNSF power running through. |

Over the hump |
Description: |
The Heavener Sub is well known for its up and down profile, but there is one short rise that is not enough to get any attention, but it really poses a challenge to a heavy train. Were at MP 219, just south of Decatur, as a 125 car TXUX coal train pulls south, very slowly, over the top of the short grade here. |

Late in the day at Davidson |
Description: |
A northbound empty TXUX train rolls past the pastures at Davidson Rd, north of Siloam. The H2 scheme has its appeal, but it really washes out in the sun. Much as I prefer the H 1 scheme, the Swoosh also is fairly photogenic. |
