Description:
In the late 70/s LIRR acquired a couple of ex MILW Fs and a pair of B&O Fs, converting them to power cars. This is one of the ex B&O units at 2nd St in Mineola, just cleared the main and on the Oyster Bay branch.

F 7 rolls toward Oyster Bay
Description:
An Oyster Bay train takes the curve as it clears 2nd St in Mineola. The power car is one of the former B&O units seen earlier in this album, now converted to provide train power and a control cab. It wears one of the many variations of paint schemes that adorned the power cars over the years.

The LIRR in the Pennsy years had a standard design station, a gambrel roof structure with canopies on either end, though this was modified for local conditions. One such was at Roslyn, seen here with an eastbound making its stop. Check out the Beemer and the MG!!
