Nice looking DPUs |
Description: |
A three unit set of DPUs takes the rear of the H train past the feel mill. This train had more power than Ive seen in a long time. It had picked up the local power at Watts for the trip to Heavener, giving it six units on the lead, and these three behind. I think theyll make it!! |

Day 2 |
Description: |
Sunday of that weekend dawned chilly, but with promise to get into the 40s again. The roads had dried out a bit since the day before, but still a lot of snow cover elsewhere. We heard a horn to the north, and were able to catch this southbound 262 about to roll under the US 412 overpass in Siloam Springs, passing the former Allen Canning warehouse in the process. |

Down by the station |
Description: |
The 262 passes the station at Stilwell, whose sign has been removed, probably for a brush up, as the lettering was getting kind of battered. |

Big curve |
Description: |
We passed up the shot at Cave Springs, recalling that the road there was mostly snow covered the day before, and I wanted to get this shot at Bunch. Turned out the road was in much better shape, and we might have been able to do the tangent shot at Cave Springs and get this spot, too, but not taking chances, given a redo of the previous days chance. |

I usually dont get out to chase til mid afternoon most days, so getting out late morning changed the approach. This is the east side of the tracks view at Baron, showing the train stretched out into the distance as it approaches the crossing in Baron. |
