Chemical coast train |
Description: |
The ex CNJ line that runs along the Jersey Turnpike near Port Newark was called the Chemical Coast Secondary by Conrail, because it served mostly oil refineries and chemical plants. There was a train that originated there, CCAL, that ran to Allentown. It was easy to spot, having mostly tank cars. Here it is with 118 cars on the ex LV bridge over the Delaware, shortly to arrive in Allentown. |
