Local working through the yard |
Description: |
A local with a B23-7 pulls its train into Allentown. I always liked this view of the yard. It looks like a model railroad, with all the different cars from different roads. The variety could sometimes be stunning. In this view, there are CR hoppers on the far track, some still in their PC and EL markings, as well as PC gons on the local. Note the Clinchfield car on the near track, and flatcars with tanks behind the train. |

Last chance |
Description: |
After a day of chasing NW 611 on a trip from Buffalo to Conneaut OH, we called it a day and headed home. Our last shot of the day was this TV 79, which had left North Bergen NJ that morning, now rolling though Erie on its mad dash to an ATSF connection in Chicago with 95 cars of TOFC. Halfway there!! |
