Home and away |
Description: |
A pair of gray units, one lettered for KCS, the other for TFM, leads a 77 car southbound grain train at Collins Av in Gentry. The trailing unit shows one of the few times I shot a TFM lettered GE. |

New power on a gloomy day |
Description: |
It always seems that if something interesting runs, it happens on a cloudy day. The Belles were still new, and catching one in the lead was a find at this time. So, of course, Id see them, but in cruddy weather. True to form, heres one leading the 54 car northbound H train past the Siloam water tower-in the clouds. |

Just the right moment |
Description: |
We were out for a ride today. When headed north, well cross the tracks at Davidson Rd on the way toward Gentry, since signal 226-5 is just south of the crossing. Today when we went across, it was green. I swung back around to catch this southbound 98 car grain train behind an original SD 70ACe repaint. KCS and CP just announced a merger. Get these while you can, before they go the same way all those ATSF warbonnets went after the BNSF merger. |
