I caught a southbound TXUX train as I was coming through town, and was able to beat it to Lake Frances Rd. The light was dead on, but the nose is well lit, even if the side of the unit is in shadow. The contrast makes for an intersting image. |

After losing the race to the Davidson Rd crossing, I waited for the train, then took off, hoping hed keep his reduced pace-the detector just south of Davidson Rd said 16 MPH-but it was not to be. I got this grab shot of the DPUs as they crossed Country Club Rd. A lot of hustle would be needed to catch him at Westville, and a full bladder made the decision to call off the chase here. Id be back out a little later to get a southbound grain train. |
