If you hustled after you got off NY 17 at Chemung, you might beat a westbound to Wellsburg, where NY 427 gradually got closer to the tracks. That approach did allow some panoramic shots, such as this 31T rolling 70 cars west, seen from the shoulder of NY 427 east of Wellsburg.
