Auto Train |
Description: |
One of the more interesting Amtrak operations was the Auto Train. They took over the failed train after Auto Train Corp went under. It was a chance to see Amtraks name on the side of freight equipment-they had a fleet of auto racks-and also some of Amtraks most unusual power, their fleet of GE P30CHs, known affectionately as "pooches." Heres a pair southbound out of Lorton. |
