New red order
Title:  New red order
Description:  For a long time, CP resisted sending its fleet of GEs to the D&H, preferring instead to run out what miles the various SD 40 types still had in them. This 39T was a sight, having five of the newer units leading across the Chenango River. The red brick building to the far right is the Derby Knitting Mills, which would be burn to the ground in a spectacular fire a few years after this shot was taken.

No siding
Title:  No siding
Description:  There was, til late last year, an old switch stand that made for a nice photo prop here. Gravette installed a walking/bike path over the crossing here, and it seems as part of modifying the crossing, KCS did some clean up of old relics. The switch itself was long gone, but the stand was cool.

Description:  Though not much to see. The small light colored box next to the tracks is part of the facility, which the train is about to pass. It will tell me the train is southbound, has 344 axles, and the temperature is 59 degrees.

Through the sag
Title:  Through the sag
Description:  One feature in Siloam that I often overlook is the sag between the Country Club Rd crossing, and CP North Siloam Springs. I set up at Lincoln St to catch the train rolling through.

I wanted to do this in the snow
Title:  I wanted to do this in the snow
Description:  The 80 car grain train makes its way along the creek and some rocks seen from the Ark 59 overpass. I wanted to do this shot in the snow the previous weekend, but the trains didnt cooperate. Did get some good stuff south of Siloam, though.
