The rocks along the line can be a great photo prop, but the delicate and colorful nature of flowers is also appealing. The grain train rolls past some rocks and flowers as it heads north in this wide angle view. The cliff above the trailing units is better seen in a southbound view about 1/2 mile south. The exposed rock makes a dramatic backdrop and was used by KCS for publicity photos. |

The line in this part of Missouri follows Butler Creek up to Noel, where it reaches the Elk River. Over the millions of years it has taken for the valleys to form, many rocks have fallen from the cliffsides, among them some very large ones.
