The snow event of mid January was not to be the last for the season. Another storm dropped about 6" on northwest Arkansas in mid February. Then it got cold; the next couple days the high didnt get out of the teens. I moved here to get away from this!! Northbound empty grain rolls into Gravette in stinging cold. The weather would get the best of the train a few miles north in Goodman Mo, and kill what would have been an epic day with a southbound. |

Ill catch up to him again near Goodman MO, where brake issues will strand him on the single track. Theres a southbound at McElhany that now cant proceed, which would have been a fabulous chase in the snow and bright sun. Sadly, not to be. Some days, the railfan gods frown upon you. |
