Yermo was known at the time for being the place the Centennials were stored. The best way to see them was from the Desert Wind, and I was able to get a good look. Here are several, waiting for reactivation, which would come for a short period in 1984.

Yermo was where UP put all its stored units. It had quite a collection. The day I rode past on the Desert Wind, there were these, among other things. I never was able to see them active.
