SOO and ice |
Description: |
No, not the Iowa Chicago & Eastern, it had not been invented then. We see train 261 along the ice choked Chemung River at Wellsburg during a thaw that caused a lot of runoff and resulting ice backups on local rivers. |

Flooded |
Description: |
The Chemung River was almost over its banks at Wellsburg-and there was a big ice dam just beyond the bridge Im standing on-as 261 rolls west. NY 427 runs along the ice covered cliff just above the rrain. Good chase road coming in from Chemung, but you gotta hustle!! |
