More typical transit
Description:
NYCTA was also having some R 42s rebuilt at Hornell. These went back and forth on OIBU and BUOI for the duration of the several year long program. Later, R 44 and 46 cars would also get rebuilt, and ply the rails of the Tier. This R 42 is on BUOI at Elmira, headed back to New York.
