CR power makes a visit |
Description: |
Most of the time the CR-LIRR interchange was accomplished by the LIRR running up the connection to Conrails Bay Ridge line. Once in a while I would see CR power in Fresh Pond as on this day. |

Backing down |
Description: |
The power for LISE is backing down past Lutheran Cemetery in Queens as it heads to pick up its train, and return to Oak Point yard in the Bronx. There it will gather any cars for Selkirk, returning up the Hudson Line after rush hour. Note the catenary supports still hanging over the tracks. In New Haven days, this was a big time electrified freight line. |

Backyard running |
Description: |
LISE rolls through the backyards of Elmhurst as it makes its way to Hell Gate Bridge and the Bronx. The road at far right going under the tracks is Queens Blvd, which the railroad crosses on a series of concrete arch bridges. |

Grand Central |
Description: |
No, its not the one youre thinking of. LISE soars over the Grand Central Parkway as it approaches Hell Gate. The parkway below leads to the Triboro Bridge, which runs alongside the railroad bridge into the Bronx. Its a great place to watch the action. |
