We beat him to Mt Olive Rd, north of Dorsey siding, and got a shot of the head end, a fully North American consist if ever there was one. Four units and 133 cars roll north.

Title:
On the crossing
Description:
The northbound rolls across Davidson Rd, its five units stretched beyond. I used to think when I saw a train with a lot of power, how cool!! Now, I often wish they had only two or three units-something AC power has made possible-since any more than that often becomes a challenge to frame if you dont have a wide open shot, and you don't get any of the train-this one was 103 cars-in the shot, unless you have a wide open scene, such as near Westville. This guy would get stuck in Gentry, as a southbound worked George's mill north of Decatur, then be held for the Holiday train. It would be well after dark by the time he got moving again. This is why trains outlaw after going only a short distance.
