Car shop SW with a classic
Title:  Car shop SW with a classic
Description:  If one can consider a PC gon a classic. GE Railcar operated a contract repair shop in the old LV facility in Sayre PA. Aside from having this SW 1, it also took old cars in as fodder for rehab, and it was not uncommon to see some fallen flags, such as this PC gondola.

Pulling them down
Title:  Pulling them down
Description:  RELCOs SW 1 rolls down the running track, setting out cars for Conrail to pick up. The track at left is the Lehigh Runner, the connecting track from the ex LV Lehigh Line to the Southern Tier Line. It is used by ALCG and CGAL, as well as any trains from the Tier to the Ithaca Branch, though those trains have to do a run around to access the branch.

First generation goodies
Title:  First generation goodies
Description:  Were passing the Chicago engine facility just outside Union Station, where first generation power is holding sway. A pair of Es, a GP 7 from the PC Valpo train, and an SW 1 shop switcher dominate the scene, quite typical of the time. Note the building in the background, the Continental Paper Grading Co. I had no idea my teachers were sending my term papers here to get graded. I thought they did it all themselves :-)
