I was out for a ride that followed the MKT from Muskogee to Wagoner, among other places. I saw at least three oil trains, including this one on the ex MP side of Wagoner. The train was departing for Van Buren, then most likely on to Little Rock and Louisiana. The low light, blue sky, and golden grass made for a pretty photo. |

The first four or so years I watched the 205 and 206 trains, I dont think I ever saw any foreign power on them. It was almost always a pair of NS GEs, though occasionally an SD would slip in. Then something changed, and western power, mostly UP, started showing up on a sporadic basis. This is one of those days, as 205 comes back from CP with its Taylor pick up. It will couple to the train it brought down from Ayer, and off to Buffalo and Chicago. The ex DLW station and Marconi tower stand watch over the action. |

There are few things I miss about living in NY; the color that could erupt in the fall is one of them.
