NKP and Alcos too |
Description: |
The NKP unit is part of the Steamtown collection. Sometimes the historic look of the site is broken by interlopers, in this case an M 420 and C 425 of the road that does the freight work between here and Portland PA, the Delaware Lackawanna. |

Rolling for Halifax |
Description: |
The eastbound freight has done its work at Edmundston and is now rolling again with 92 cars. As usual, the sun has gone just far enough that the shot is not well lit. Good power, shot it anyway. Now off to dinner and the Journeys End. |

MLW jackpot |
Description: |
While chasing the 470 Club North Star trip, I jumped over into Edmundston NB, a larger town than Madawasa, where the trip was overnighting. There, I checked out the CN yard, which yielded several unusual models. The 1761 is an MR14C, a retrucked RS 18, now sporting a-1-a trucks. An eastbound would also come through while I was there with an HR 616, so it was Alco heaven for an hour or so. |
