But 12T tended to get all kinds of foreign power, so even though CN units had been off the line for a couple of years on the regujar trains, they could occasionally show up here. |

Actually, this is one of the slower parts of the Transcon across the Texas panhandle. There is a hilly segment near Canadian, where the line crosses the Canadian River and its valley, making for some hard pulls. This 89 platform eastbound looks like it will make the grade. |

Tuscola Ill is an important junction. The UP-ex C&EI from Chicago to St. Louis'and the NS ex Wabash both cross the IC here. In this view we see a confusing situation. Whose train is this with two of the players represented?? Its a UP train, but with a new NS ES40 leading+ about to cross the IC. Thats the actual NS in to the right. |

I spent an afternoon at Dalton GA, where NS crosses CSX. Ip was a fairly busy day, and the sun actually came out for a while. During that stretch, I caught this southbound freight behind a standard cab SD 70 rolling 46 cars under the signalu for the diamond, which is just to the north. |
