Title:  Hopewell Turn
Description:  Hopewell Turn heads east with a big block of coal head out. The train worked from Crewe to Hopewell mid day, and returned later in the afternoon. This was the only non coal train I saw on the line that day.

Description:  A long view of the approaching Hopewell Turn, a local job based out of Crewe working carload and interchange freight as far east as Hopewell Va. Todays effort has six 4 axle units. The cars at left are on the SBD-NS interchange track, and will be picked up by the return trip later that day.

Description:  ENRO departs Enola with the same power it came in with on ROEN. It was not in the yard long, just enough time to drop its inbound cars, then get its 103 car outbound train and get out of town. We see it on the flyover approach to Rockville.

Title:  Roanoke run through
Description:  In a foreshadowing of things to come, Conrail and NS got together on this run through train via the Shenandoah line that connected Roanoke with Enola. ROEN arrives at Enola with a pair of CR GP 38s bracketing an ex NW GP 40.
