Local with power you wouldnt expect |
Description: |
A pair of CN units are on the Yazoo City based local. CN has owned IC for almost two decades, but I still cant get used to Canadian power in Mississippi, though in fairness, I have to say the trailing unit is ex IC. |

No big deal |
Description: |
Seeing CN painted power lettered GTW is not a big deal. GTW was the CN subsidiary that extended from the CN proper to Chicago from Detroit and Port Huron. GTW power in Mississippi, well thats another thing. Ever since CN took over IC, the power has moved around quite a bit. Ive seen IC units in upstate NY, and now units that never went farther south than Cincinnati in the deep south. The trailing unit, on the other hand, is right at home. Its a former IC GP 38-2, used to these climes. This is a local waiting out the weekend at Yazoo City. |
