| Description: |
I was able to get a grab shot off the train as we passed the yard in St John. Alcos in the house-an RS 23 and a C424. The RS 23's were common, and held down a variety of local and yard assignments. Some would get assigned to the D&H when CP took over the following year. |

| Description: |
The Atlantic stopped at McAdam, its last stop in Canada, which is also a base for several locals. A pair of RS 23s and a van wait out the night as we take care of business. I was able to set up long enough to get a shor of the slumbering Alcos. |

During the transition to CP oepration the new road tried out several different types of units to switch East Binghamton. One such was the RS 23,several of which came down from Canada to work here. They didnt fare too well, and didnt last long. A clean 8039 is at the north end on this March day. |
