Ex MILW F 9
Title:  Ex MILW F 9
Description:  This is one of the ex Milwaukee Road Fs, this one an F 9, that LIRR acquired and converted to a power pack. We see it pushing an Oywter Bay train west on a cloudy day. Note the big number on the rear of the unit. This was not a typical typeface for anything they ran at the time, and I dont recall seeing it on any other equipment.

Port Jeff train for Jamaica
Title:  Port Jeff train for Jamaica
Description:  A nort Jeff train rolls toward Jamaica and NY/Brooklyn connections behind an ex MILW F. Here's another variation on the cab unit paint scheme-the bow wave. Long a standard diagram on cab uniJs, this was the first unit on the LIRR to get the standard form of it. They were always tweaking the paint on these units, this is just another example.
