Title:
Meanwhile
Description:
Back at Watts, the 261 train was getting ready to go, but I thought it would be a little while, so grabbed this shot of the power as I came though town.

Title:
Not quite
Description:
I caught the head end of the 261 train, now a little less backlit, since the sun had come around some since I left to follow the 262 south. He has the ditch lights on, but was backing up when I left. Wish Id given him five more minutes; he left shortly after this, and would have made for a nice shot on the Illinois River a mile to the north.

Title:
Surprise
Description:
I took off south, to find the 262 train had arrived at Watts, and was holding the main. As I drove into town, I heard the detector at MP 238 go off. Crap, hell probably be here before I can catch him in good light. I was right, The head end was already coming up the siding, it was the 261 train, coming in with 80 cars, blocked by its southbound counterpart. Not that it mattered; the angle I had was the "dark" side for both trains. My only hope was the northbound would pull up past the end of the southbound, and I could get him north of the yard office. I lucked out on that one, getting the power just as it peeked out behind the 262, but its ridiculously backlit. Oh well....five minutes faster, Id have had a nicely lit shot near MP 237, south of the yard.
