The northbound Q train is holding the main as the grain train slowly rolls down the siding, its headlight reflecting off the Q trains tank cars. Once in the clear, the Q train will start north. The grain train will hold here for a second northbound, which I could hear blowing for a crossing just to the south. |

I heard this southbound from the house, and took off, running down Ark 59 and US 62 into Westville. I got to the crossing there just in time to see the headlights approaching through town. I dumped the car in the lot on the west side of the tracks, and was able to get this wedge shot of a 100 car southbound grain train, with a northern visitor. Someone must have gotten their Canadian roads mixed up, so we have a CN unit instead of CP trailing. Didnt get the memo, I guess. |

After getting the shot of the leader going past the signals, I ran to get it meeting the power on the Q train. He was a bit faster than me, and I didnt get the power passing power shot I wanted. This is still a pretty good action shot, though, of the Q train conductor giving the northbound a roll by. |

The trains at Davidson Rd are pulling a pretty stiff grade, and once I get the shot there, if I hustle, I can beat him to Country Club Rd for this shot of the train rolling past the Cobb feed mill. If I get a good enough lead, I can beat him to Tahlequah St, where the signals are for CP North Siloam Springs. |
