Blasting though
Title:  Blasting though
Description:  TV 303 rolls triumphally down Court St past BD as it heads west into the Susquehanna valley, having overcome Gulf Summit and the Delaware division. It will be in Buffalo this evening. That "Dicks" sign to the left of the lead unit marks the location of the first Dicks Sporting Goods store, opened in 1947.

Off the bridge
Title:  Off the bridge
Description:  TV 303 rolls off the bridge over the East Branch of the Delaware River at Hancock. The clearance shows why the Erie was the choice for high and wide shipments.

View from on high
Title:  View from on high
Description:  One of the most scenic routes in the east is the Delaware valley. As evidence, I submit this shot of TV 303 rolling over the Mill Rift bridge-see the stack cars in the distance-as the power runs along the river. This was taken from a pull out on NY 97 across the river in Hawks Nest NY.

Crew change and go
Title:  Crew change and go
Description:  Conrails stack trains got out of Croxton overnight, but were usually held at Sloatsburg for the inbound commuter trains. This got them to Port Jervis around mid morning. Its about 1030 and TV 303 is making its crew change and will be on its way up the Delaware momentarily. Of note, the obelisk on the mountain top in the distance is the highest point in New Jersey, in appropriately named High Point State Park. It sits at 1803 feet above sea level.

Headed back
Title:  Headed back
Description:  Two days prior to this shot, I had chased a TV 303 west on the Southern Tier Line with this power. Now its Saturday, and the set is headed back east on a merchandise train, seen crossing US 20 in South Bend.

Mc Master St
Title:  Mc Master St
Description:  There was once a road crossing here at Mc Master St, which was closed, but gates installed to allow for pedestrian crossings. Some motorists didnt take the hint, as you can see by the various barriers that have been installed. Some people are remarkably creative when it comes to stupidity, and even after these were put up, occasionally a driver would get hung up on the crossing here. OIBU has no such obstacles today, and rolls on by with a pair of C36-7s.

Snowy OIBU
Title:  Snowy OIBU
Description:  OIBU passes Chemung with 68 cars on a snowy day in March. The calendar says spring is coming. Youd never know it. The scene will still look much like this in a month.
