Montauk train
Title:  Montauk train
Description:  My Sunday routine was to go to Bellerose on the Main Line in the early afternoon. Bellerose was a great viewing platform, as it was an island platform on the Hempstead branch, with a good view of the main and the signals at the east end of Queens interlocking. Id arrive usually around 1215, and catch a Montauk train, a Ronkonkoma train and a couple of Oyster Bay trains, and if I was lucky, a freight behind Alcos over the next couple of hours. The Montauk train, 4012, usually had a pair of GP 38s leading. This day is true to form, with 260 leading a typically long train through Queens interlocking and out the Main Line.
