Title:
Dutch door view
Description:
Back in the day, most long distance equipment had Dutch doors, which allowed one to stand in the vestibule and get a fresh air ride. It was also great for checking out the train. Here the return trip has left Selkirk and is now heading south on the River Line. It will stop shortly for a run by.

Title:
Hudson River Streamliner
Description:
Tri State NRHS rana trip in August 1985 that ran from Newark Penn Station to Shell tower in New Rochellle NY, changed power to three CR B23s, then ran to Mott Haven, around the wye and up the Hudson to Castleton, where it went up the connection and across the river to Selkirk. Following a shop tour, the train returned to Jersey via the River Line. It was an interesting route, and was well patronized. We see the crowd returning to the train after the Conrail tour at Selkirk.
